Halloween 2020 may look a little different this year, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still celebrate! Here are 20 Halloween movies to get you into the spirit of Halloween!

Ah, Halloween. Trick or treating, candy, spooky and fun decorations, scary movies…It’s one of my favorite times of year!

This year might be a little different for Halloween celebrations due to Covid-19, but there’s still lots of ways to safely celebrate! One of my favorite things to do to get me in the spirit of Halloween is to watch some of my favorite Halloween movies.

I am not a strictly scary OR non-scary movie girl…I like a mix of both. Like many 90’s kids, I grew up watching Hocus Pocus and Double, Double, Toil, and Trouble…so not scary. I didn’t really venture into some of the scary movies until more recently and now I enjoy watching a scary one or two around Halloween.

Today I am sharing my list of Halloween movies that I have enjoyed over the years. I have a mix of non-scary, more family friendly movies as well as some scary recommendations.

Here’s my list of Halloween Movies:

I tried to separate them a little with the less scary movies listed first, and the definitely scary movies listed near the end.

As for new movies this year, I might brave Friday the 13th, Alive (new on Netflix), and Rebecca (also new on Netflix). Big emphasis on might there!

Grab some popcorn, candy, and other movie treats and prepare to be Halloween spirited!

What are your favorite movies to get in the Halloween spirit?

  1. I love this list! You definitely have some of my favorites on this list and thank goodness I found it because I had forgotten about Ghostbusters. That was always my family’s favorite to watch when I was growing up, so I’ll have to add it to my list this year. Thanks for sharing!
